New Taskforce to improve NDIS registration

A new Taskforce has been established to address issues within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registration process, aiming to enhance outcomes for participants. Led by the Hon Bill Shorten MP, the Taskforce will collaborate with individuals living with disabilities to revamp provider and worker registrations while upholding participant choice and control, as suggested by the NDIS Review.

The Taskforce aims to establish a minimum regulatory standard for all providers, particularly those offering intensive supports, while minimizing administrative burdens. It will adopt a gradual approach informed by input from the disability community, NDIS providers, and workers.
